What are we doing? Why? Who are we doing it for?

Hello Everyone,
Today we had our day off in Freeburg. We started things in the morning by going to Mass and breakfast that followed by rest, rest, and a little more rest. After our morning nap we sat down together and discussed three important questions about our trip: What are we doing? Why are we doing it? Who are we doing it for?
The conversation that ensued turned into a sharing of deep thought and personal experience: what -biking from New Orleans to Chicago, but also sharing with others, laughing, suffering, and praying. Why – there were many reasons from bringing money into women’s pregnancy centers to showing others along the way our love that we have learned and experienced throughout life. Who for – and here things became much more intimate than I think anyone anticipated, a few of us were brought to tears as the group recognizes and knows by the events that happen in our lives the weight of importance on turning hearts away from abortion and those things that destroy to the sacrifice that brings about life. Everyone had something a little special to add, but among the answers came a fiancé, a new niece, co-workers, friends, family –in a special way our parents; thank you – and our heavenly Father, Who is the author of all life.
I am amazed at the heart of the young men and women sharing in this mission with me. What memories and impressions I will be left with as I continue on this journey of life. Also, a video will be put up soon to better capture the thoughts of our group.
On behalf of us all I want to give a special thanks to Mike’s parents and Cory’s mom who housed and fed us the last day and a half. Please continue to pray for us as we have our longest mileage day tomorrow into Champaign.
Stay tuned, we have some surprise guests joining us for the ride tomorrow!

Peace of Christ,
Taylor
