This past week, the Women’s Care Center of Madison had a send-off party for the Wisconsin B4B members. We toured the care center because Nick and Sarah haven’t seen it yet. They made us awesome cookies and invited a member from Relevant Radio to interview us about the ride. Before the party, the care center was busy all day as they performed 11 ultrasounds. During this party I was reminded that my training, bike ride, and fund raising would mean nothing without these beautiful people. Without the care centers, Biking for Babies would be just a bunch of crazy men and women biking across the country. Yes, we are still crazy…but we are crazy in love with the care provided to women and their children at these care centers all across the country. We bike for the love that these centers give to their patients. On behalf of the B4B team, we thank every volunteer and person who helps at the women’s care centers we support; you are the true heroes of our country. I hope you all have a fantastic Fourth of July and in light of our country’s birthday remember these words from the Declaration of Independence: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…”
