In preparation for Easter, let’s consider our strategic approach to living victoriously.
When David faced Goliath, he approached him with confidence, determination, and complete trust in God. May this serve as an example for us on how to approach the Goliath’s of our time. We, like David, must be cognizant of what we say. David was reflective and spoke truth to the circumstance he was facing, even before any act was committed. We, too, must be reflective and speak truth to the circumstance of our times, then proceed in living with the same confidence David had when he slung his stone.
As Christian’s, we don’t do a very good job of celebrating victories, and it’s easy for me to acknowledge this because I’m one of the worst culprits.
If we truly lived what we profess we believe, the world would look a lot different. This week, let’s set a goal to walk with Jesus along the path to Calvary, but don’t stop there! Follow him through the cross to the crown, and bathe in the victory of His triumph over sin and death.
As you reflect on the passion of Christ, mediate on where the word “tenacity” fits into the story. Christian’s are by name followers of Christ. Wherever God leads you, as you consider Christ’s tenacious spirit, know that you are another Christ to the world. You are called to be His hands and feet, at a specific time and place, which is HERE and NOW!
Love the fight and not the fall, do not fear, and live victoriously. Have a blessed and solemn Holy Week and don’t forget to smile.
